Meet our Veterinary Technician Kimberly
I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 1996. In 2007 I decided to study the art of Canine Massage through the PetMassage Institute in Toledo, Ohio. I blended the knowledge I had gained working as a Vet Tech and my skills learned with PetMassage Institute to create my own business helping pets in the Richmond area. I joined the staff at Short Pump Animal Hospital in August of 2018. We are now offering massage here at Short Pump Animal Hospital as well.
Massage for dogs (and other small animals) is all about relaxation, comfort, and mobility management. We us the gentle manipulation of skin, muscle and joints, to achieve these goals.
Benefits may include:
- Relaxation to relieve stress and anxiety. This can also aid in sleeping at night, and less stress and anxiety
- Increased Mobility to allow your pet to move around freely without discomfort
- Increased Social Interactions. When pets are comfortable, they are more apt to interact with their family
Speak to us to see if massage could help your beloved friend.
